You know that Picasso quote, “I begin with an idea, then it becomes something else?”

That’s me most of the time.

I’ve been in the habit of carefully composing every shot in camera. (It’s what good photographers do, right?) And there have been times when what I compose in the field is what I edit in post. Though that kind of creative efficiency is rare.

Most days, I open my photos in Lightroom & Photoshop and see something else. It’s as if an inner critic with great taste, or my inspiration seeking higher self, is nudging me toward something more in tune with my heart.

That’s my process, at least for now.

Hey, if it worked for Picasso… 😎

Until next time,
K
